Description
Coordinate with suppliers/vendors on orders, deliveries, and shipping schedules, as well as resolving any issues or discrepancies, including return material authorizations (RMAs) Support purchase planning by liaising with project managers and engineers, etc., and assisting with development of cost rough order of magnitude (ROMs) and submitting work orders Collaborate with internal buyers in support of obtaining quotes from vendors Collaborate with various internal teams (procurement, contracts, finance, etc.) and external stakeholders (suppliers/vendors, etc.) Maintain active lines of communication with suppliers/vendors regarding order issues, including order configurations and resolving technical issues Ensure compliance with all regulations and laws governing supply chain activities Analyze supply chain data, identifying areas for improvement, and preparing reports for management Identify and resolve issues within the supply chain, such as delays, shortages, or quality problems Communicate with various stakeholders Demonstrate organizational skills managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively Utilize problem-solving skills identifying and resolving issues within the supply chain Analyze data and identify areas for improvement as needed Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Education/Training:
- High School diploma required
- Associate's Degree in technical/scientific discipline preferred
Experience:
- 7+ years of general (full-time) work experience required
- 5+ years of directly related experience required
- Knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Procurement required
- Experience with government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) and related government regulations preferred
- Experience with supply chain software and familiarity with relevant procurement software and tools preferred
Security:
- Must be a US citizen
- Candidate must be in possession of a minimum DoD issued Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms
- Frequent wrist, hand, and finger movements while using a computer or measuring tools
- Have the dexterity to see fine print and use hand and precision measuring tools
- Adhering to safety protocols when in work areas requiring use of PPE (e.g. eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)
- Able to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a time
