Systems Engineer III
Location: Huntsville, AL – Onsite

Job Description
The Systems Engineer III will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams and product groups, ensuring requirements are derived for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems. Candidates must be comfortable engaging in planned meetings, managing assigned tasks, and structuring their work week to meet deadlines. This role provides the opportunity to grow and develop within the team while directly supporting key DoD initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Derive requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Collaborate with product teams and multi-disciplinary engineers to meet deliverables.
• Support clean sheet design initiatives.
• Participate in planned meetings and assigned tasks.
• Communicate effectively and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.
• Support systems engineering lead in completing project tasks.
Required Experience/Skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university with 8+ years of experience or an MS with 6+ years.
• Experience in deriving requirements for complex electrical, electro-mechanical, mechanical, and software systems.
• Ability to perform in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
Nice-to-Haves
• Preference shown to candidates who possess a Master of Science in System Engineering from an ABET-accredited university, and/or have at least 2-4 years of direct systems engineering experience.
• Experience with MagicDraw and/or other Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) modeling tools.
• DOORS and/or other requirements database tools.
• Understanding of the DoD acquisition processes and methods.
• Experience supporting one or more DoD programs.
• Object Management Group (OMG) Certified System Modeler Professional (OCSMP) certification.
• INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional (SEP) certification (ASEP or CSEP).
