Are you interested in a dynamic career in prevention education and outreach services? We are currently seeking an Outreach & Prevention Specialist to support the U.S Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) National Community Outreach & Prevention Engagement (NCOE) program. This program aims at connecting DEA field offices with the communities they serve, partnering with community-based prevention stakeholders to increase community awareness and readiness, supporting local drug-free community coalitions and other prevention providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to drug use and misuse prevention and education, and raising awareness on local drug threats and over time change attitudes to reduce drug demand, use, and misuse through increased collaboration and prevention education at the local level.

As the Outreach and Prevention Specialist, you will deliver evidence-based, science informed prevention (e.g., Life Skills Training, Photo voice) to schools, youth groups, and community organizations; conduct workshops, training, and awareness campaigns for youth, families, educators, and law enforcement
personnel; support peer mentoring, and drug misuse prevention activities tailored to high-risk populations; and collaborate with community stakeholders to expand outreach efforts and increase program visibility.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate/possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in public health, Education, Social Sciences, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• At least 3 years’ experience in substance use prevention, health education, or community outreach.
• Certification as a Prevention Specialist (CPS) or equivalent preferred.
• Strong facilitation and training skills with diverse audiences.
