Contract Administrator
About the Role:
3 Reasons Consulting is seeking a Contract Administrator to manage the full lifecycle of contracts across multiple government programs. This hands-on role supports both prime and subcontract administration, ensuring compliance with FAR/DFARS, internal policies, and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing subcontractors as a prime and overseeing NDA/TA (Non-Disclosure Agreement / Teaming Agreement) development and execution. You will collaborate closely with program managers, finance, and leadership to support contract execution, maintain compliance, and strengthen relationships with government and industry partners.
Key Responsibilities
Review, interpret, and negotiate contract terms and conditions to identify risks, ensure compliance, and clarify obligations.
Administer prime and subcontract agreements, including modifications, extensions, funding actions, and closeouts.
Manage NDA and Teaming Agreement creation, negotiation, tracking, and compliance throughout the contract lifecycle.
Support subcontractor oversight as a prime contractor, including issuing agreements, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with flow-down requirements.
Track funding, deliverables, option periods, and key deadlines to support program and financial management.
Draft contractual correspondence such as notifications, reports, clarifications, and approvals.
Partner with business development to support proposal reviews, pricing inputs, and capture activities.
Maintain complete and audit-ready contract files, documentation, and records.
Serve as a point of contact for government contracting officers, CORs, and subcontractor representatives.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience
3–5 years of government contract administration with experience supporting both prime contracts and subcontracts.
Required Knowledge
Strong understanding of contract types (FFP, CPFF, T&M, IDIQ); familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government compliance requirements.
Experience drafting and managing NDAs, Teaming Agreements, and subcontract agreements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Unanet or similar systems preferred.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills
NCMA certification (CFCM, CCCM, or CPCM).
Experience in a small business environment with the ability to adapt and take ownership of processes.
Location
This position is part of the Corporate Support Division based in Charleston, SC. The role offers a hybrid schedule, with on-site presence required a few days per week. Occasional travel may be necessary for customer meetings, subcontractor engagement, or program support.
