Duties
As an IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN/NETWORK SERVICES) GS-2210-12, you will serve as unit level manager/monitor for telecommunication systems plans, policies, procedures, and program management for the Eastern Air Defense Sector (EADS) Plans Section (SCXP). Also, serves as the Communication and Information Systems (SC) Configuration Manager (CM) and liaison between the SCXP section and EADS Information Assurance (IA) team, providing communication link with higher headquarters and detachment CMs and plans teams.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE :
Experience, education, and/or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE :
1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Leading a team to review plans and orders to include: Contingency Plans (CONPLANs), Operational Plans (OPLANs), Operations Orders (OPORDs), Execution Orders (EXORDs) ...etc. from the communications perspective. Prepares or reviews all Annex Ks to ensure communications considerations are addressed. Implementing telecommunication programs and special projects. Serves as a project management officer responsible for the successful implementation of various telecommunications programs/projects.

Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. In accordance with DoD 8570, Mandatory Certification of "GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC)" and/or "Certified Information System Security Professional" (CISSP), or equivalent DoD 8570 Management Level II certification is required. If Certification is not held, must obtain within six months from initial hiring. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. Head of Agency requests to exceed 14 days in a calendar year must be approved in advance by the National Guard, Director of Manpower and Personnel.

- Incumbent must be eligible for a TS/SCI security clearance (Special Compartmented Information), as required by duty location.
