We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Quality Engineer to join our team on the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) program. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the quality engineering efforts for the APKWS program across multiple production sites, including Nashua, NH, and Austin, TX. The Lead Quality Engineer will provide technical direction and guidance to other Quality Engineers on the program, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced, high-production environment.

Full-Time Salary Range: $95106 - $161680
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the quality engineering efforts for the APKWS program across multiple production sites, including Nashua, NH, and Austin, TX
- Provide technical direction and guidance to other Quality Engineers on the program, ensuring consistency and compliance with quality standards
- Create and implement comprehensive quality plans, procedures, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, including AS9100, ISO 9001, and DoD requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and program management, to ensure quality is integrated into all aspects of the program
- Conduct and lead quality inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, reduce defects, and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure they meet quality standards and requirements
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior quality engineers and other team members
- Create and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and records
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, including export control and safety requirements
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and opportunities across the program
- Create and implement risk management plans to mitigate potential quality issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities for quality improvement
- Ensure that quality requirements are properly documented, communicated, and implemented across the program
- Collaborate with requirements management teams to ensure that quality requirements are properly integrated into the program's requirements management system
- Create and maintain a comprehensive requirements management plan to ensure that quality requirements are met
- Work in a fast-paced, high-production environment with tight deadlines and high production volumes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality is integrated into all aspects of the program, while meeting production schedules and deadlines
- Create and implement quality processes and procedures that are efficient, effective, and scalable to meet the demands of a high-production program
- Provide technical direction and guidance to other Quality Engineers on the program, including:
- Creating quality plans, procedures, and records
- Assigning and directing quality tasks and activities to junior Quality Engineers
- Conducting regular quality meetings and providing updates on program quality status
- Identifying root causes and addressing quality issues and implementing corrective actions
- Developing and implementing quality training programs for Quality Engineers and other team members
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience or 8-10+ years of experience in lieu of degree
- Software and Hardware Quality experience in commercial, automotive, or aerospace & defense hardware and software technology with emphasis on Hardware Quality skills
- Strong Collaborative skills both within and external to the Quality Function
- Ability to read and comprehend drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
- Ability to drive successful completion of Root Cause, Corrective and Preventive Actions
- Self-motivated and able to manage daily priorities with minimal oversight and direction.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience with AS9100, PPV/AS9102 FAI, and AS9145/PPAP
- Green Belt/Black Belt Certified
- Experience with a Quality Improvement Program (Zero Defect, Lean Six Sigma, Operational Excellence, etc..)
- Ability to devise sampling procedures and directions for recording and reporting quality data
- Perform and Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
- Secret Clearance or ability to attain
- Experience using Quality Databases
- Plan, conduct and monitor testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished product quality
- Experience with Software Quality Assurance
