Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Digital Engineer/Analyst to support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), modeling and simulation (ModSim), and digital engineering efforts for the US Space Force Space Systems Integration Office (USSF SSIO). This position is available in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Job Duties for the Digital Engineer/Analyst:
- Develop and document analytic frameworks for modeling and simulating potential Systems of Systems (SoS) and Families of Systems (FoS) solutions in operational scenarios.
- Perform trade studies and recommend modernization changes to candidate surface, air, and space mission systems.
- Design, develop, test, and deploy critical software applications across all phases of product development.
- Translate system requirements into robust, test-driven software designs.
- Collaborate with Systems Engineers and Government stakeholders to define lifecycle requirements.
- Conduct thorough requirements analysis, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure software quality.
- Communicate project plans, status updates, and risk mitigation strategies to cross-functional teams.
- Support engineering management analysis and ensure disciplined processes are followed within ZA engineering.
- Assist in the procurement, setup, and maintenance of MBSE software tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs and system issues.
- Integrate SMC/ZA models into SSC's digital engineering ecosystem, including ModSim software installation and maintenance.
- Provide innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
Desired Skills for the Digital Engineer/Analyst:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in industry, federal government, or SETA/FFRDC roles supporting federal acquisition with a focus on MS&A, digital engineering, or software development.
- Proficiency in programming languages including C#, Python, and experience with modeling tools such as CAMEO, SysML, and Sparx Enterprise Architect (EA).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- U.S. Citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility required.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Compensation for the Digital Engineer/Analyst:
- $120,000-$150,000 depending on experience and client approval
