The Shee Atiká Incorporated (SAI) team is currently looking to hire an existing college student or recent graduate to participate in a 10-week paid summer internship program at our corporate office in Juneau, Alaska. This position offers interns the chance to gain hands-on experience working alongside a variety of administrative professionals, applying classroom knowledge to tackle real-world challenges. This is a unique opportunity, and interns will finish the role with a sense of achievement and an understanding of the importance of task prioritization while supporting a mission-driven organization rooted in Alaska Native values.
SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Assist with general office operations, including filing, data entry, and document management.
Support scheduling, meeting coordination, and calendar management for executives.
Help prepare internal and external communications including social media posts, shares, web posts and eNews blast, reports, and presentations.
Participate in special projects related to corporate governance, shareholder services, or compliance.
Provide front desk coverage and greet visitors as needed.
Collaborate with various departments to support administrative needs.
Attend team meetings and contribute to a positive, productive office culture.
Assist with the planning and execution of Shee Atika Shareholder meetings.
Requirements
Candidate must have at minimum academic experience with the following:
Currently enrolled in a college or university program (Business, Communications, Public Administration, or related field preferred) or recent graduate
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
Strong networking and relationship-building skills
A strong enthusiasm for acquiring new knowledge and embracing challenges
A proactive attitude and a readiness to take ownership of projects
Must be able to work a 40-hour week
Demonstrated productivity skills, able to switch between different tasks, and comfortable taking on a variety of tasks
GPA of 2.0 or better
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
At the completion of the summer internship, interns will be required to present a group project including their findings and experience to the executive leadership team.
