Sr. Cloud Systems Administrator- TS/SCI REQUIRED- Springfield, V

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Cloud Systems Administrator to join a government consulting company located onsite at the NGA Campus in Springfield, VA. This is a 100% onsite role supporting mission-critical cloud infrastructure for the Geospatial-intelligence Enterprise OpenDataStore (GEODS). The Sr. Cloud Systems Administrator will provide hands-on support for cloud systems implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, contributing to the modernization of GEOINT data services.

Responsibilities:

• Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of AWS cloud systems and Linux-based environments.
• Monitor system health using tools like Elasticsearch Kibana and AWS CloudWatch.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across applications, operating systems, hardware, and communications infrastructure.
• Install and configure operating systems and application software.
• Integrate new technologies into existing systems and support migration to hybrid cloud architecture.
• Provide technical support and escalate issues to Amazon/C2S, NGA-ESC, and other leads.
• Administer IAM roles, policies, and user access to S3 buckets.
• Use LDAP for account management on Linux servers.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to support AWS infrastructure requests.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support all shifts as needed (core hours: 5AM-9PM EST).
• Mentor junior team members and potentially serve as a team lead.

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of relevant experience (or 5 years with a Bachelor's, 7 years with an Associate's).
• Proficiency in AWS C2S Suite, Linux, Java, Python, Ruby, and container platforms (EKS, ECS).
• Experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of AWS CloudFormation (YAML/JSON), Terraform, and Agile methodologies.
• Systems monitoring experience (Elasticsearch preferred).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance and be willing to obtain a CI Polygraph.
• Must be able to work onsite daily (no remote work).

Compensation:

Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 (flexibility depending on experience)
