CSCI is looking for a Security professional to perform the duties of an Alternate Contractor SAP Security Officer (ACSSO) to work in a very dynamic high-tempo environment to deliver Mission First results!

The successful candidate will: implement and administer a Special Access Program (SAP), as well as assist in the implementation of all compliant SAP security policies and procedures for classified/proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. A successful candidate should have an understanding of industrial security regulations and federal security regulatory requirements of the NISPOM and DOD 5205.07 Special Access Program (SAP) Security Manuals. Understand established procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and granting personnel and visitors access to restricted programs. Conducts security education and training programs for SAP. Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken.

The candidate must have a current TS/SCI Clearance.

This position is on-site, Monday-Friday in Springfield, VA.

Responsibilities

Responsible for supporting CSCI at the Springfield office. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring all SAP requirements, including but not limited to the following:
  • Security Governance - Assist in the development, implementation, and oversight of security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks.
  • Personnel Security - Support clearance processing in a Multi-Level Security environment, insider threat mitigation, and assist with implementing a Security education program.
  • Information Security - Assist with data protection strategies, access control, incident response coordination, and secure handling of classified and sensitive information.
  • Physical Security - Assist in implementing and maintaining access controls, facility protection measures, and physical risk assessments.
  • Administrative Security Support - Maintain documentation, manage security records, and support audits and inspections.


Skills - Minimum of 5 Years Experience

Required Qualifications:
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • AA/AS or equivalent experience in a security or business-related field is required*.
  • 5 years of related experience required in the DoD environments.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience with SAPs or SCI within the DoD.
  • Extensive knowledge of Special Access Programs.
  • Certified Special Access Program Personnel Security Officer (SPO).
  • Extensive Knowledge of JADS or JADE database.
  • Impeccable customer service skills.
  • Expert experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The employee must maintain clearance and eligibility throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.S. in a security or business-related field preferred.
  • SFPC certification would be ideal but not required.
Education*:
  • HS diploma or GED and 9+ years of experience supporting DoD environments,
  • Associate's degree and 5+ years of experience supporting DoD environments, or
  • Bachelor's degree in in a security or business-related field , and 3+ years supporting DoD environments.
Experience Levels:
LEVEL1 - requires a minimum of 3 years related experience
LEVEL2- requires a minimum of 5 years related experience.
LEVEL 3 - requires a minimum of 8 years related experience.
LEVEL 4 - requires a minimum of 10 years related experience.

This position is classified as a Level 2; however, we are open to Level 3 Security professionals.

Compensation
Compensation at CSCI is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this position is based on full time status. While monetary compensation is important, it's just one component of CSCI's total compensation package.
Salary Range
$67,000 - $115,000/Yr
