The SharePoint Systems Engineer will work with a team of Administrators, Engineers, and Architects to build a coalition environment for our U.S. Army Europe-Africa (USAREUR-AF) customer. The main job focus for the Systems Engineer is performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily, the Systems Engineer will also maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems. Remain current in operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications. Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system. Experience with designing, developing, and implementing business solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI, often integrated with SharePoint is a plus.

- Provides technical guidance and leadership to engineers with less experience
- Creates effective and clear documentation (EIPs, Build Guides, TTPs, etc.)
- Detail oriented and organized; able to understand information systems and ensure accuracy of work
- Performing SharePoint Engineering and Administration functions. Secondarily
- Maintain system security, establish practices and procedures, monitor usage statistics and logs, develop baseline configurations, and troubleshoot system related problems.
- Perform operating systems/software analysis and technological developments and applications.
- Provide expertise and direction in the development or modification of software programs and applications to enhance an operating system.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Systems Engineer must have:
- Education: Bachelor Degree; years of experience can be substituted for degree requirement
- Experience: 8+ years of related Systems Engineering experience
- Technical skills: Microsoft SharePoint Administration (3+ years); Proficient in SQL Server; DoD systems hardening (STIG, ACAS); Windows Operating Systems; Virtualized server environments; Server backups (snapshot, full, differential, incremental, retention policies); PowerShell scripting.
- Security clearance level: Secret Level Security Clearance Required
- US citizenship required
- Role requirements: Candidate must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification on Day 1; Candidate must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire
- Candidate must be able to meet German TESA requirements
