PROJECT/TASK MANAGER - IT PROJECT MANAGER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Project/Task Manager, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our government and defense customers. You will play a crucial role in leading the successful delivery of enterprise IT projects that improve operational efficiency, security, and capability across mission-critical environments.
• Lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle-including planning, execution, delivery, and post-implementation-ensuring IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with mission goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, engineering teams, security, vendors, and customer leadership to define requirements, manage priorities, and ensure alignment with evolving mission needs.
• Drive effective risk management, proactive issue resolution, and continuous improvement, using Agile and traditional project management frameworks to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes.
• Utilize tools and methodologies such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, and PMBOK/PMP practices to track progress, manage scope, and report metrics.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience managing IT or infrastructure projects
• Technical skills: Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow, Agile/Scrum, ITIL, SDLC methodologies
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: On-site role; occasional travel (~10%); experience supporting federal contracts or regulated IT environments preferred
