The Aeronautical Data Auditor is responsible for conducting detailed reviews of Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs), Departure Procedures (DPs), and Standard Terminal Arrivals (STARs) sampled from the Data Library. The auditor compares procedures against authoritative source documents, identifies and classifies discrepancies, assembles evidence, and records results in the approved system of record.

Duration: Three month engagement approximately 520 hours total
Responsibilities
Review assigned IAPs, DPs, and STARs using authoritative host nation source plates and Government
Furnished Information (GFI).
Identify and classify discrepancies across textual content, graphical symbology, altitudes, minima,
navigation data, notes, and other charted elements.
No Errors
No Safety Effect – Cartographic Judgment
No Safety Effect – Known Processing Differences
Minor – Difference within Validation Tolerance Criteria
Major – Exceeds Validation Tolerance Criteria
Safety of Flight – As defined in Safety of Flight criteria
Record findings in the approved system with complete metadata and supporting evidence.
Assemble auditable evidence packages including annotated images, source excerpts, and explanatory
notes.
Participate in daily debriefs to review classifications and resolve disputed findings.
Support arbitration sessions where final classification determinations are made.
Required Qualifications
United States citizenship.
Active Public Trust adjudication.
Demonstrated expert knowledge of aeronautical mission and data processing, including at least one of the
following areas:
Graphic design of aeronautical procedures
Digital coding of flight procedures
Instrument procedure design
Source data processing.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Order 8260 series specifications.
Familiarity with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Document 8168 Procedures for Air
Navigation Services – Aircraft Operations (PANS-OPS).
Training in FAA Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) or ICAO PANS-OPS.
Experience applying Acceptance Quality Limit (AQL) classification in aeronautical data audits.
Work Environment
All audit work is performed in a secure, government-approved virtual platform.
Each auditor must use an electronic device capable of audio, microphone, and visual sharing for daily
debriefs and arbitration sessions
