Job Description
As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more.
As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment by conducting regular patrols and staying highly visible throughout the premises. In this dynamic position, you will help to deter security-related incidents while responding promptly and professionally to any situation that arises. Your responsibilities will include monitoring assigned areas, interacting with individuals on site, and providing outstanding customer service with clear communication. This post requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:
- Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including both interior and exterior areas of the location.
- Monitor for unusual activity and/or unauthorized individuals on or near the premises, helping to deter potential threats.
- Maintain awareness of site access points and assist in controlling entry and exit of personnel and vehicles as required.
- Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and site personnel as needed during emergencies or incidents.
- Maintain proficiency in the use of assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
- Participate in ongoing training and drills related to security-related and emergency response procedures specific to the aerospace and defense environment.

Minimum Requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required for driving positions in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
- A Guard Card or license is required
- Must have a active DOD Security Clearance.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
