Background

• Experience working with 4160VAC/1000VDC or higher
• Knowledge of device characteristics, gate driving circuit design, thermal design, topologies, modulation schemes, control strategies in Medium Voltage Power Converters
• Knowledge of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film and Ceramic) used for power conversion
• Knowledge in control theory and sensor integration

Requirements

• BS in Electrical engineering
• Minimum 3 years of experience that includes the following practical experience requirements
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working with 450VAC/300VDC or higher for at least 2 of the following types of power equipment: Transformers, Rectifiers, Solid State Relays/IGBTs, 50+HP motors, Induction motors, Switchboards, Motor controllers such as variable frequency drives, inverters, and power monitors
• Minimum of 6 months of developing, updating, or executing test procedures for systems that include at least 2 of the types of power equipment listed above
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing or developing control systems associated with power generation, transmission, distribution, or conversion

Preferred

• Minimum of 6 months of field experience in installing and testing or troubleshooting at least 2 of the types of power equipment listed above
