Key Responsibilities
- Provide the expertise, labor, and purchasing services. Support mission planning, mission scheduling, mission preparation, mission execution, post-mission support.
- Assist the Government personnel with transportation and operations at various storage locations, mission related launch complexes on WSMR to include other areas CONUS and OCONUS. Travel will be required both CONUS and OCONUS locations up to eight weeks per mission.
- Work with Navy Government and GVI team leads to coordinate logistics movements and resolve any issues that arise during the process.
Qualifications
- US Citizenship.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret Clearance; Candidates currently possessing an Active Secret Clearance are preferred.
- Must have U.S. Driver's License.
- Experience level needed:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Knowledge in Supply, Wearhouse, Logistics, Customer service.
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective collaboration.
Desired Skills
- Prior experience as Military or Navy Logistics Specialists responsible for managing supplies, inventory, and customer service to ensure operational readiness of naval forces.
- Licensed and/or qualified for the operation of equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts and transport vehicles.
- Familiarity with logistics software and tools for tracking shipments and managing inventory.
- A strong commitment to customer satisfaction and the ability to work with various stakeholders to meet their needs.
- Understanding of compliance requirements related to shipping and handling of goods, including hazardous materials.
