Description: This part-time, consultant position supports the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Work will be a combination of remote and on-site, the latter primarily for coordination with the client. Work is expected to be periodic in nature, based on client requirements, and can range from long-term to short-term work with occasional short-duration, high level of effort.

Description: This part-time, consultant position supports the Ted Stevens Center for Arctic Security Studies, located at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Primary Responsibilities:
- Working with TSC Strategic Communications and Public Affairs Officer to develop print and digital visual products in support of the Center's mission. Items include, but are not limited to, posters, brochures, graphics for journal cover/journal articles, banners and other products for special events.
- Creating refining, updating, and maintaining visual branding for the TSC, including branding books, templates for publicity items related to TSC mission activities, and other print and digital visual products as directed.
- Working with TSC Strategic Communications, Public Affairs, and Web Designer to create and update visual elements of the Center's website.
- Providing graphics products to be embedded into webpages and various other multimedia products as required.
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a visual communication-related field and/or graphic design/visual arts certification.
- Minimum three (3) years' experience working with: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or other visual/graphic design software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience working in U.S. Government computer systems and in web development, knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) web policy and regulations.
