This role will focus on developing and maintaining MBSE architecture models that support current and future Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) capabilities, while also contributing to mechanical design solutions, configuration management, and the drawing release process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage requirements and models for current and next-gen Radio Frequency (RF) and Infrared (IR) capabilities using MBSE tools and SysML-based design
• Create architectural views, such as IBDs, BDDs, Use Cases, and Functional Diagrams, to support system design and development
• Collaborate with HWIL engineers and system product owners to ensure MBSE models stay current, accurate, and aligned with evolving program needs
• Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products
• Review requirements from various sources to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products
• Coordinate with configuration management and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met
• Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by releasing accurate, error-free, affordable, and producible engineering designs
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or Higher in a Technical Discipline (such as Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field)
• Candidate must have at least 5 years of professional experience working Models-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in Cameo
• Candidate must have at least 5 years experience with system functionality definition, including state diagrams and operational modes
• Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS, etc.) and model-based product definition
• Experience using the Cameo SysML-based modeling tool
• Ability to design using Open System Architecture (OSA) principles and SysML-based tools.
• Familiarity with requirements tracking tools like DOORs, Cameo, or similar
• Skilled in requirements generation, decomposition, and converting system needs into executable architectures
• Ability to synthesize and implement system architectures across multiple HWIL systems
• Knowledge of systems engineering process and lifecycle.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals, including structures, mechanisms, materials, and analysis
• Experience with system functionality definition, including state diagrams and operational modes
• Skilled in requirements generation, decomposition, and converting system needs into executable architectures
