This experienced SEIT Systems Engineer - Level 3 or 4 role will be located in either our Morrisville, NC, Fairfax, VA or Linthicum, MD sites.
This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.
The successful candidate will demonstrate broad systems and software engineering lifecycle knowledge. The candidate must be adaptable to course corrections and ever-evolving plan changes, have a solution-based mindset, and be able to advise and present managing scope and dependencies to both the technical and leadership teams. These teams are geographically dispersed, and the candidate should have the ability to operate as a team lead in a fast-paced software testing environment. The candidate is expected to operate independently with little oversight in a dynamic environment and to be highly self-motivated. The individual is expected to handle diverse assignments with efficiency, finding unique solutions, and working in a very collaborative and fast-paced environment that continues to grow.
This position is contingent upon clearance verification and transfer to the NG sponsored program as well as continued ability to maintain required clearance level.
Basic Qualifications:

Primary Level Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $165,500.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $206,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Requires an active Top-Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance [ TS/SCI ] at time of application
- Level 3: ( Principal level )
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- Master's degree in a STEM field with 3 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- PhD in a STEM field with 1 year of professional experience) (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- Level 4: ( Sr Principal level )
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- Master's degree in a STEM field with 6 years of professional experience (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- PhD in a STEM field with 4 years of professional experience) (excluding internships, research projects, etc.)
- Experience with software Requirement Verification & Validation (V&V), to include manual and automated test methodologies
- Experience with Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and how they're utilized in the testing process
- Experience with requirements, the decomposition process, and how verification methods are applied
- Experience with MBSE (Cameo)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Favorably adjudicated CI polygraph
- Experience with Python, Behave, and MATLAB
- Experience working within the Linux environment
- Familiarity with Agile processes
- Familiarity with the use of Confluence, Jira, and Bitbucket
- Familiarity with the use and/or management of Jenkins (or other) CI/CD pipelines
- Experience using cloud services, such as AWS
