Senior Maintenance Electrician Technician- TS/SCI Clearance w/CI

This position requires TS/SCI CI Poly. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is hiring a Senior Maintenance Electrician Technician to support the installation, modification, operation and repair of Large Earth Terminal Maintenance systems. A Licensed Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical power, lighting, control systems, motors, generators, transformers, switch panels, etc. The systems are mechanical, electrical and RF based.
This is an on-site role based in Aurora, CO. The position schedule supports a non-traditional work week comprised of 12 hour shifts with a day night rotation for 24/7 coverage.

Day in the Life:

• Performs electrical and related work involved in the maintenance of industrial - building - installation, repair and modification of electrical, electronic systems and equipment. Excluding electronic test equipment
• Determines routing, location and method of installing wire, conduits, electrical equipment, fixtures and accessories.
• Determines advisability or need for repair or replacement and best and safest method of restoring interrupted service. Computes wire gage, power and load limit requirements when required
• Must be familiar with electrical code and safe working practices
• Must have the ability to work from schematics, blueprints, verbal and written instructions
• Experienced in the repair, modification and maintenance of high voltage switch gear and associated equipment. Does repair and installation work such as splicing, tapping and insulating wires and cables
• Work in an open environment where frequent and direct interaction and collaboration with customers and peers is ordinary

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• US Citizen with active TS/SCI CI Poly
• Undergo a comprehensive background investigation
• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of relevant job experience or 12 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
• Military experience may substitute for some requirements. Military technical certification credit for military experience (*military personnel who have been formally trained or have relevant experience obtained while in service versus civilian training).
• State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician Card and completed OSHA 500 training Knowledge of electrical maintenance, shop theory, practice, procedure and ordinances.
• (12) years of experience as an industrial - building and/or installation electrician
• Knowledge and ability to work on operational systems within an Operational and Maintenance (O&M) industry
• Ability to learn and understand a wide application of technical theories and concepts utilized in this area.
• Must be able to distinguish the difference between colors on a computer monitor (specifically red, blue, white and green)
• Requires the ability to utilize graphical and textual color displays of remote systems to evaluate and respond to mission needs
• Upon acceptance this person will enter into a formal certification process and will be required to obtain and maintain certification for ground terminal operations

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Working experience in a customer environment.
• Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to understand existing procedures while looking for ways to improve on them
• Experience performing satellite mission support in a near real-time environment
• Experience monitoring and quickly digesting the status of multiple large systems and rapidly reasoning through and prioritizing appropriate responses to real-time situations
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify cause and affect relationships

Benefit selection, customer contractual specifications, relevant work experience, skills, competencies, certifications, and clearance status will influence the final salary.
Full benefits: $100,000 to $125,000 annually
Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision): Up to $134,000 annually
