Title: Technical Project Manager
Note: This position is contingent upon Government approval.
Job Description
We are seeking a team member with technical project management experience to support a research project portfolio at DARPA in Arlington, VA.
As a Technical Project Manager you will serve as the main interface between the performing company and DARPA. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in science, mathematics or other technical field with experience in technical project management.
100% onsite with flexible work schedule through occasional remote telework and/or alternative work schedule.

Job Description
We are seeking a team member with technical project management experience to support a research project portfolio at DARPA in Arlington, VA.
As a Technical Project Manager you will serve as the main interface between the performing company and DARPA. The ideal candidate will have a technical background in science, mathematics or other technical field with experience in technical project management.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, edit and proofread technical documents and presentations to communicate program status.
- Communicate essential portfolio information in written and verbal communications.
- Evaluate and guide technical reports, briefings, and other performer communications.
- Prepare DARPA work products, including presentations and reports.
- Develop plans, make recommendations, and facilitate efficient operations across the entire portfolio.
- Track performer progress against plan and project anticipated performer outcomes.
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices across all project participants.
- Coordinate independent verification and validation (IV&V) activities.
- Coordinate and organize multiple projects and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience working in a technical field.
- 3 years of experience managing the execution of technical projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights into current and next-generation research topics
- US Citizen.
- Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Preferred Experience:
- Full technical program life cycle experience.
- Broad technical research, development and engineering experience across a broad range of technical projects.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new subjects and gain rapid insights into current and next generation research topics.
- Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task and respond to quick turn-around requests.
- Familiarity with the DARPA technical, programmatic, and contractual environment.
- Prior experience working on programs at DARPA as a technical or program management support contractor.
- Knowledge of DARPA processes and procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Project and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Self-starter who is willing to both take the lead and provide support in a team role in a complex, fast-paced, cross-disciplinary work environment.
- Flexible and readily adaptable to change.
