Koniag Management Solutions, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Technical Writer/Jr. Analyst to support KMS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This is a remote opportunity.

Koniag Management Solutions is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Analyst/Technical Writer to support our team in creating clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to translate complex technical information into user-friendly documentation. Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

The Junior Analyst/Technical Writer will be responsible for developing and maintaining various technical documents to support our products, services, and internal processes. This role will involve collaborating with subject matter experts, gathering information, analyzing data, and creating documentation that meets the needs of different audiences. Principal responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including user guides, standard operating procedures, training materials, and process workflows
  • Gather and analyze information from subject matter experts through interviews, meetings, and research
  • Organize and structure content in a logical, user-friendly format
  • Write clear, concise, and grammatically correct content for various audiences
  • Edit and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines
  • Create visual aids such as diagrams, screenshots, and flowcharts to enhance understanding
  • Support the development of presentations, reports, and other business communications
  • Assist in requirements gathering and documentation for projects and system enhancements
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and document findings
  • Help maintain document repositories and version control systems
  • Format documents according to established standards and templates
  • Support process improvement initiatives by documenting current and future state workflows
  • Collect and analyze basic data to support business decision-making
  • Assist with project coordination tasks as needed
  • Track and report on documentation progress and status

Education and Experience Required:
  • Experience with Jira Server, Data Center, and/or Cloud environments
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in technical writing, business analysis, or related role
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with documentation tools and content management systems is a plus

  • Basic analytical skills and logical thinking
  • Ability to transform complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Basic understanding of documentation processes and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
  • Good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Basic research skills for gathering and verifying information
  • Ability to follow established style guides and templates
  • Basic understanding of information architecture and content organization
  • Receptiveness to feedback and ability to incorporate revisions
  • Ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Desired Skills and Competencies:
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of basic project management concepts
  • Experience with visual design tools for creating diagrams and illustrations
  • Experience with content management systems
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
  • Experience with document version control systems
  • Ability to create video tutorials or other multimedia content
