location in Alexandria, VA and able to travel within the DC Metro area as needed. Ideal candidates will be diligent and thorough in their monitoring and reporting and have strong communication and briefing skills.
Essential Functions
Participating in the FPS Open-Source Threat Intelligence Program
Monitoring open sources to identify potential threats to federal facilities
Supporting regional special event open-source information needs
Coordinating conveyance of threat information to leadership
Liaising with the FPS Intelligence Division on research and intelligence production
Conducting research and data management
Identifying trends in threats, criminal activities, and analyze for operational impacts
Generating data, briefings, reports, and products as required
Communicating intelligence assessments and forecasts to the Watch during turnover briefs
Preparing the Daily Intelligence Review Bulletin
Supporting field requests for information and law enforcement system checks
Maintaining access to Intel systems
Gathering requested information to package them appropriately and convey information
Contributing to JIMC Critical Incident Management
Gather information on critical incidents, taking the lead on intelligence data gathering
Correlate and coordinate information from other DHS and government reports
Ensure compliance with security classification and sensitive handling requirements
Supporting the Watch as needed if staffing requires assistance
Understanding the organizational policies and procedures for accuracy of solutions and deliverables to the client.
Demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer support.
Education & Training
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience & Skills
•Ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance and a DHS Suitability
•Five years of MS Office experience – specifically PowerPoint, SharePoint, & Excel
•Ability to work independently
•Able to work onsite and within the DC Metro region
•Experience preparing briefing materials
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Outstanding customer service skills
•Acute attention to detail
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Proven self-starter
