Jr. Network Engineer
We are seeking a motivated Jr. Network Engineer to support the 66 ABG/SC Core Services team by managing and maintaining a converged Gigabit Ethernet network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, TACLANEs, UPS systems, and network tools (Orion NPM/NCM, Cisco ISE).
• Support daily network operations (IPAM, routing, switching, monitoring).
• Assist with network upgrades, integration projects, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure DoD, AF, and DISA compliance; maintain records and network maps.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, ticket resolution, and 24/7 on-call support as needed.
Requirements:
• Associate degree in IT/CS/Math and 3+ years in networking (or 5 years total experience).
• Hands-on with Cisco/Juniper, TACLANEs (training required), firewalls, VoIP, and network services (DHCP/DNS/Radius).
• DoD 8570 Security+ certification and active Secret clearance.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills; able to lift 50+ lbs and work flexible hours.
Preferred:
• Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019.
