THE HIGH LEVEL
An Iron Bow Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for the planning, direction, and coordination of all activities of designated global projects. The PM will ensure that goals and objectives of the project are accomplished within scope, schedule, resource, and quality parameters, as defined within the executed Statement of Work (SOW) and/or Customer Contract. In this role, the project manager will primarily support the DoD IT global initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide project management leadership and direction by integrating internal, subcontract, and customer staff into cohesive team structures.
- Provide project status reports, monitor, and track entire project lifecycle, leverage Microsoft Project reporting tools and be accountable for overall project success. This includes full financial assessment and responsibility of project profitability.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of all contractual artifacts including proposal documents, Statements of Work (SOW), deliverables, mandatory reports, CLINs, and Service Level Agreements among others.
- Assess client business and technical objectives, determine deliverables, evaluate risk, and execute projects.
- Understand and apply the Iron Bow Project Management Methodology processes and procedures.
- Understand and abide by the Iron Bow ISO 9001 policies and procedures.
- Some travel will be expected as well as an expectation of after-hours work, as needed, for implementation tasks, cutover tasks, etc.
- Communicate with stakeholders (project managers, team members, senior leadership, etc.), providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Establish quality standards and monitor project performance to ensure deliverables meet requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of program plans, progress, and key decisions.
- Assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement best practices.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and analyze program data to assess progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage all project staff and ensuring that the staff completes all their assigned tasks on time and correctly
- Maintain appropriate communications with customer personnel and ensure that the customer is completely satisfied with all aspects of the project.
- Additional duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- BS degree + 10 years prior related project management experience in IT, specifically with Department of Defense customers, is desired. Experience can be substituted for education.
- Experience with Department of Defense customers on IT deployments desired.
- Experience with Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) is highly desired.
- DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT III certification is desired
- Project Management Professional (PMP) and/or Project Management Institute (PMI) certification is desired.
- Familiarity with DoD security standards, ATO processes, and compliance.
- DoD Top Secret clearance is required.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Position is remote with approximately 10% travel requirement PACRIM and stateside.
