  • Perform system studies—load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and grounding—using industry-standard tools (ETAP, SKM Power Tools, CYME, PSCAD)
  • Develop single-line diagrams, protection/control schematics, and technical specifications for electrical equipment
  • Participate in field inspections, equipment testing, and commissioning to validate system performance and design compliance
  • Assess and select key components: transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and protective relays
  • Support SCADA integration, substation design, and renewable energy projects
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NESC, and other relevant codes and standards
  • Create and revise design drawings using AutoCAD or Revit MEP
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and deliverables

Basic Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance (required)
  • Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 8–12 years of experience, or Master’s with 6–10 years
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and system design
  • Experience in analog/digital circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with hardware and electronic design tools and workflows
  • Ability to work independently on moderately complex tasks and contribute to larger initiatives
  • Strong communication skills for technical collaboration across teams
  • Knowledge of electrical systems in applications such as radar, communications, and computing
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • Proven ability to resolve complex technical challenges

Preferred Qualifications
  • Analog design
  • Digital signal processing (DSP)
  • Electrical construction and installation
  • Electronic and hardware design
  • Radio frequency (RF) systems
  • Power generation, transmission, and distribution
  • Familiarity with VHDL for digital system simulation
  • Proficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, or embedded applications
  • Experience guiding product development from concept through implementation
  • Project coordination or management experience
