DevSecOps Engineer- Infrastructure

Description: Seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer - Infrastructure to support the LGY Development, Security, and Operations 2.0 program. The engineer will design, implement, secure, and maintain infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms to enable continuous delivery of secure and reliable applications. This role requires strong expertise in infrastructure-as-code, containerization, and government security compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement infrastructure automation solutions using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Support and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps) to integrate development, security, and operations.
• Deploy, configure, and manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) in VA-approved environments.
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure performance and compliance with program KPIs.
• Develop and maintain Disaster Recovery Plans, Backup Procedures, and System Continuity Plans (IAW PWS §5.3 Operations).
• Enforce security baselines and compliance (RMF, FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, VA cybersecurity policies).
• Produce deliverables such as Configuration Management Plans, Infrastructure Performance Reports, and Security KPIs in compliance with contract requirements.
• Collaborate with Development, Security, and Operations teams to embed security controls in infrastructure and deployment processes.
• Support cloud migration and hybrid cloud operations across AWS, Azure, or VA Enterprise Cloud environments.

Required Skill and Experience:

• Strong proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).
• Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker).
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD pipeline tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, or VA Enterprise Cloud).
• Familiarity with Agile/DevSecOps delivery methods.
• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Experience supporting federal government programs or VA systems.
• Familiarity with LGY product line or large-scale enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements.
• Hands-on experience applying RMF, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53 controls to infrastructure.
• Security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified Security, Kubernetes Security Specialist).

Education:

• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education
