Job Description

As a Security Professional - Flex - Armed Correctional Facility in Bartow, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated correctional locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients, visitors, and staff within a corrections environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Assist with emergency response activities as required by site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity, reporting observations and/or incidents as directed.
• Work collaboratively with facility staff and law enforcement personnel to support the security-related needs of the location.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all security-related incidents, patrols, and activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or possess an equivalent qualification.
• Must possess an armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Must have at least two years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience or possess a college degree.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
