Space Domain Awareness Project Lead
The Opportunity:
As our Space Domain Awareness Research and Development ( R & D ) lead, you will drive advanced research aligned with client priorities and evolving space threats. You will integrate divers e data sources and analytic methods to deliver mission-ready SDA solutions. This role requires leadership in designing and executing projects in satellite tracking, debris monitoring, space weather impacts, and operational space environments-bringing deep technical expertise to protect and advance national security in space.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 10+ years of experience in Space Domain Awareness ( SDA ) research and development initiatives
- Experience in SDA technologies and methodologies, including satellite tracking, space debris monitoring, and space weather analysis, and in astrodynamics and orbital mechanics for predicting and analyzing satellite and debris trajectories
- Experience with radar, optical, or infrared sensors and data fusion techniques to detect, track, and characterize space objects
- Experience in computational methods, including statistical analysis, signal processing, or machine learning, applied to space domain awareness
- Experience with leadership and mentoring
- Knowledge of sof tware development tools and technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, or Git
- Experience in risk management and quality assurance for R & D projects, and emerging SDA technologies and innovations
- Experience in the intelligence community, a national agency, a combatant command, or within the military space community
- Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
- Bachelor's degree in an Aerospace Engineering, Astrophysics, or Space Sciences field
Nice If You Have:
- 15+ years of experience in the space domain or intelligence community
- Master's degree in a related field preferred ; Doctorate degree in a related field a plus
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
