Location: West Melbourne, FL

Hourly Rate: $25-$27/hr DOE

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled RF Test Technician to support automated testing, system integration, and prototype development for portable and mobile communication products. This role involves creating and executing automated alignment and final test solutions based on minimum performance standards, industry regulations, and technical design requirements. The position will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and contract partners to ensure seamless product transitions and support.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meet all Technician III requirements while demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot products down to the component level.
  
• Perform circuit analysis and assist engineers in resolving production failures and pilot run debugging.
  
• Apply experience in RF, digital, and analog circuitry.
  
• Work with EIA/TIA and MPS test methods.
  
• Perform soldering according to established guidelines.
  
• Assemble and debug prototype assemblies.
  
• Execute formal software test plans and proactively identify abnormal radio behaviors.
  
• Assist design engineers with component selection.
  
• Work with Bill-of-Materials (BOM) structures and engineering change processes.
  
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  

Knowledge & Skills:

• Proficiency with Oscilloscope, Communication Test Set, Signal Generator, Modulation Analyzer, Audio Analyzer, VOM, and Spectrum Analyzer.
  
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Detail-oriented, accurate, and organized with good time management.
  
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and function independently or as part of a team.
  
• Commitment to confidentiality and professional standards.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: ASEE or ASEET degree (or equivalent experience).
  
• Experience: Minimum of three years as an RF Technician.
  

Working Conditions & Physical Demands:

• Work in a production environment requiring walking, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and hearing.
  
• Frequent handling of test equipment, tools, radios, parts, and keyboard tasks.
  
• Ability to sit for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day).
  
• Effective verbal communication for troubleshooting.
  
• Vision capability to focus on monitors, test equipment, and microscope work.
  
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  
• Operate PC and other office equipment as needed.
  
• Occasional travel between work areas or buildings may be required.
  
• Exposure to environmental factors such as noise, vibration, oils, solvents, and chemicals.
