Engineering Technician VI (Key Personnel) - NSWCPD HM&E Engineering Support

Location: Philadelphia, PA (with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel)
Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret (minimum)
Position Type: Full time, contingent upon contract award

The Engineering Technician VI will provide engineering support services for upgrading HM&E systems and deploying technologies that enhance system availability, reliability, ship mission readiness, and maintenance efficiency. Support will encompass U.S. Navy active and reserve ships, Foreign Military Sales (FMS) platforms, U.S. Coast Guard vessels, land-based test sites, Military Sealift Command (MSC) assets, and other government platforms. Responsibilities include:
• Performing systems engineering analysis to integrate control systems with new or modified shipboard systems.
• Troubleshooting control system hardware and software issues at the Land Based Engineering Site (LBES) and test facilities in Philadelphia, PA.
• Supporting sustainment and fleet modernization efforts worldwide.
• Implementing cybersecurity upgrades for current and future control system variants.
• Developing solutions to address obsolete hardware in a cost-effective manner.
• Providing technical support in engineering, logistics, maintenance, installation/alterations, and lifecycle management of HM&E auxiliary and control systems.
Required Education and Experience:
• Ten (10) years of Naval onsite fleet experience in control systems, including knowledge of the 9090-310 series technical specifications.
• Five (5) years of technical experience installing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
• Working knowledge of NAVSEA, Regional Maintenance Centers (RMCs), and TYCOM organizations.
• High school diploma, trade/industrial school graduation certificate, or certificate of completion from a technical or military school with a mechanical or electrical background.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to support CONUS and OCONUS tasking as assigned under Technical Instructions.
• Familiarity with Navy modernization processes and documentation standards.
• U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD security clearance.
