Position Summary
Our Senior Program Engineer will be responsible for in-depth understanding of technical information defined in Contract Cost and Schedule Status Reports, (CSSRs), and Performance Work Statements, (PWSs). You will work across departments to support proposals and acquisitions by developing equipment installation plans as well as service acceptance test plans. You will own the creation and explanation, oral and written, of technical engineering solutions for our Customers’ needs. Primary Job Responsibilities
• Develop technical responses to request for proposals providing the technical engineering solutions supported by clear written descriptions of the proposed solutions
• Lead engineering efforts in support of customer request and responses
• Work with sales and business development providing engineering support to assist in acquisition of future services
• Develop equipment installation plan and service acceptance test plans
• Develop statement of work for equipment integrators and service providers
• Specifies equipment and services as per design solutions and requirements
• Generate engineering drawings and documentation
• Provide technical support to the field operations team in resolving circuit issues
• Design customer solutions for specific customer and product requirements
• Assist other members of the team sales and account executives with interpretation and definition of requirements
• Represent SES SD Program Engineering team in meetings related to asset management, interference issues, and infrastructure planning
• Support Spectrum Management with spectrum coordination that might impact SES SD customers
• Support product development team with technical design and analysis for the new product initiatives, either internal or through partners
• Maintain up to date working knowledge of SES satellite fleet as well as satellites of other operators which support solutions and leverage either as partners, vendors or as a competitive threat
• Evaluate existing infrastructure and customer solutions for upgrades and improvements
• Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers
• Attend customer meetings and conferences, as necessary

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or relevant experience in lieu of degree
• Prior experience in US Military, Federal Government, or NATO contracts
• Department of Defense (DoD), Secret or higher, level security clearance
