MicroHealth is seeking a Senior Functional Trainer to support our client in Washington, DC.
**On-Site support REQUIRED.
**International Travel REQUIRED.
**Active Secret Clearance REQUIRED.
Responsibilities:
Provide worldwide support, perform training activities and provide guidance for health IT training tasks.
Provide user training, both on-site and remotely, for the purpose of maintaining user skills and educating users about system enhancements.
Provide train-the-super user training and organize training sessions specific to various roles in MED. Provide support for coordinating, developing, and delivering computer-related training to the health IT community.
Provide second level support and coordinate training with help desks.
Provide standards, services, and guidance on health IT related training programs that are designed to enable government agency personnel to use health IT, clinical and supporting business systems more productively. Services include the development, delivery, and/or coordination of training courses and materials that address health IT training needs.
Responsible for the development and maintenance of a Training Plan which provides a plan and associated materials for EHR training.
Responsible for obtaining feedback, regarding user satisfaction, after each training event to use to identify modifications to the training program and documentation.
The plan shall include:
(1) Recommended training strategy for the EHR rollout (e.g., initial user training,) and ongoing support (e.g., refresher training, new release training); and;
(2) Supporting training documentation including manuals and training materials specific to EHR system.
Qualifications:
Minimum Years Experience: 4
Bachelor's degree in training and development, human resources, education, or instructional design; Prior experience of at least four to six years in industry as a trainer; An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills and superior oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent planning and time management skills
Proficient in computer technology and Microsoft Office applications
Strong ability to convey complex information in way that students understand
Clearance:
Must possess/maintain a minimum active SECRET clearance.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
