Job Description

As a Security Officer - Tech Site - Part Time in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more.

As a Screener in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will play a vital role in helping to create a secure environment by monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and assisting with badge procedures. Your presence and attention to detail will help to deter potential security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service to all visitors, employees, and guests. You will use your communication skills and professionalism to interact with individuals entering the premises, addressing inquiries and providing guidance as needed. Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Conduct screening procedures for individuals entering the location to help to deter prohibited items from being brought in.
• Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or contractors with access protocols and information regarding site-specific policies.
• Carry out security-related procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the site management, adapting to the needs of a technology-focused environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Document and report observations, incidents, and any unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
• Collaborate with team members and site personnel to help to maintain a secure and orderly environment.
• Support emergency response activities as required, including assisting with evacuations, medical incidents, or other urgent situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet, this is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
