BDR is seeking a Director of Recruiting to join our growing team! This position will be performed virtually from the individual's home office working on EST time schedule. This position requires US Citizenship with an ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Role Overview

The Director of Recruiting will plan, develop and direct the BDR recruiting team and department. Working in collaboration with operations, security, HR, helpdesk and payroll to ensure a streamlined hiring process is being followed. Keeping up with the latest developments in recruiting tools, processes and sourcing strategies to help guide the advancement of the team. The Director of Recruiting will manage between 3-5 direct reports to include recruiters, interns and outside vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a full cycle recruiting process
  • Manage the annual employee performance review process
  • Improve our recruiting practices
  • Identify, define and evaluate KPIs for recruiting team's metrics
  • Manage two full-time recruiters and intern classes
  • Understand that filling positions quickly with high quality candidates is a critical function for the company and drives that process
  • Leverage multiple sourcing strategies and channels including external network, job boards, networking events, and internal referrals to provide high quality candidates for open positions
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and goals
  • Work with Operations, Growth and HR to determine forecasted needs or anticipated backfills
  • Provide insight to hiring managers regarding salary expectations for hiring needs
  • Prepare screening questions for requirements
  • Individually and as a manager, screen resumes, interview qualified candidates, evaluate skill level, reference checks, and make salary recommendations
  • Individually or as a director, conduct phone and/or preliminary interviews
  • Oversee and/or schedule interviews for hiring managers
  • Prepare employment offer letters
  • Coordinate with HR, Operations, Security and PMO on all new hires
  • Interface with the employee benefits department to coordinate onboarding of new staff
  • Develop and maintain strong internal customer and candidate relationships
  • Maintain applicant tracking system with accurate and well-ordered documentation on all candidates and candidate sourcing
  • Comply with all federal and state laws and company policies regarding recruitment and selection processes, and termination practices
  • Attend weekly meetings designed to update status of open positions
  • Maintain and distribute relevant data regarding all recruiting and other HR activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Required Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technical recruiting experience
  • 5 years of managing HR or recruiting staff
  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Experience in government contracting and government contract recruiting
  • In depth knowledge of federal HR compliance
  • ATS experience (Comeet/SparkHire Recruit preferred)
  • Experience supporting government agencies such as VA,DHS, CBP, FEMA and IRS is highly preferred
  • Excellent relationship building and client services focused
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Flexible, versatile, and works well under pressure
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to prioritize
  • Ability to readily adapt to changing requirements


In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
