We are seeking an experienced and visionary Full Spectrum Cyber Senior Director to provide strategic leadership, operational insight, and senior-level advisory support to advance our organization's cybersecurity posture to achieve growth at the pace of cyber. The advisor will serve as a trusted thought partner, offering guidance on cyber operations, risk management, policy, and emerging technologies across government, defense, and private sector domains. This role requires a deep understanding of the cyber threat landscape, full-spectrum operations (offensive, defensive, and information environment), and strategic-level engagement with senior leaders across government, industry, and academia. The ideal candidate brings a blend of military and industry technical expertise, strategic vision, and executive advisory experience . The Senior Advisor will leverage extensive operational, strategic, and policy expertise to guide enterprise-wide cyber resilience, threat mitigation, and strategic partnerships. This role is designed for a retired senior military leader with a distinguished record of service in cyber operations, information warfare, or related domains and a background in cybersecurity and software engineering technology as well as product development and commercial best practices.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your cyber expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Full Spectrum Cybersecurity Sr Director must have:
• Education: Bachelor's degree required
• Experience: 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, defense operations, or national security, with significant senior leadership or advisory roles including both government and industry.
• Technical skills: Demonstrated expertise in cyber operations, information warfare, full-spectrum defense strategies and the technology capabilities that align with those.
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI with POLY to start
• Worked closely with senior executives/ both military or DoD civilian.
• Deep understanding of nuances, mission, technical solutioning, in the Full Spectrum Cyber space
• Embody a strategy mindset in establishing and fostering relationships while building credibility for our program growth(most likely based on USCYBERCOM experience)
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements:
Location: Annapolis Junction, MD office with the expectation the selected candidate will be comfortable working in office three (3) days per week

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
- Develop and refine organizational cyber strategy and technology capabilities in alignment with Intel, DoD, DHS, Law Enforcement and other federal directives.
- Support and foster continued GDIT's engagement with senior government officials, industry executives, and international partners, offering informed perspectives on cyber strategy and national security.
- Provide high-level analysis and strategic advice on cybersecurity, national defense, and emerging technology issues impacting U.S. and allied interests.
- Advise internal teams on full-spectrum cyber operations, including policy, operational risk, resilience, and deterrence strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert during the business development cycle, contributing to proposals and demonstrating a superior security posture to build trust with clients.
- Mentor senior staff, cultivate talent, and help shape a culture of cyber excellence.
- Conduct research and produce briefing materials, talking points, and white papers on cyber trends, threat actors, and defense policy and technology developments.
- Offer executive-level guidance on cyber risk governance, critical infrastructure protection, and innovation in cyber defense.
- Maintain awareness of legislative, regulatory, and policy changes that impact cybersecurity, defense, and technology partnerships.
- Represent the organization in high-level forums, panels, and advisory boards.
- Serve as a bridge between technical and technology subject matter experts and strategic decision-makers, translating complex concepts into actionable recommendations and capabilities.
- Advise on investment priorities, risk management frameworks, and workforce development initiatives.

- Strong background in executive-level advisory work, ideally supporting senior flag officers, government leaders, or corporate executives.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage credibly at the highest levels of government, industry, and academia.
- Deep knowledge of U.S. defense, intelligence, and cybersecurity ecosystems, as well as international security considerations.
- Proven ability to synthesize complex technical and policy issues into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Proven ability to identify and communicate operational realities and constraints to technology development teams to build capabilities to match
