Manufacturing Operations Support Analyst, Engineer Senior (Part-Time)

Location: Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL), NJ
Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
Schedule: Part-Time (Hours within 0600–1530, Mon–Fri, government site hours)

About the Role:
Join a dynamic team supporting the Prototype, Manufacturing, and Test Department (PMTD) at NAWCAD Lakehurst. In this role, you’ll provide engineering expertise to support Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) systems through testing, analysis, manufacturing support, and technical investigations. You’ll play a critical part in improving production efficiency, validating designs, and ensuring mission-critical components meet rigorous Navy standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Apply engineering principles to industrial layout and manufacturing production under the guidance of engineering staff.
• Conduct time and motion studies on worker operations to establish standard production rates and identify efficiency improvements.
• Evaluate processes, practices, and applications to recommend improvements in manufacturability and productivity.
• Generate, manage, and analyze production support data using computer-based control systems.
• Support technical investigations of equipment and process performance, providing recommendations to resolve deficiencies.
• Review engineering drawings, schematics, technical manuals, and maintenance documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with QA personnel, production teams, and engineers to ensure high standards of quality and compliance.
• Utilize tools such as SQL, Oracle, MS Access, Excel, and reporting software to prepare actionable data for management.

Required Qualifications:
• Education: Master’s degree in engineering (industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical) from an accredited college. A bachelor’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, mechanical, or electrical engineering is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years’ experience in production support, data analysis, and process evaluation.

Technical Skills:
• Experience using computer-based production control systems.
• At least 2 years generating reports from databases such as Oracle, SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel.
• Familiarity with technical investigations, engineering drawings, and manufacturing workflows.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Navy ALRE/SE systems or similar aerospace/defense equipment.
• Knowledge of J.E.D.I., VB.net applications, or SAP Crystal Reports.
• Strong communication skills for reporting, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
