Job Title: Quality Operation Specialist
Job Location: Fort Worth TX 76101
Onsite Requirements:
* GD&T expertise (machined + composite parts)
* AS9100/AS9102 standards & FAI planning
* CATIA V6 & 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) model interpretation
Job Description:
* Ensures that manufacturing processes and inspection methods consistently meet or exceed customer quality expectations.
* Provides technical support to both quality and engineering personnel.
* Participates as a Planning Review Board member.
* Develops/revises inspection instructions.
* Responsible for reviewing technical data and translating it into effective Manufacturing/Quality planning and First Article Inspections (FAIs).
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and revise First Article Inspection (FAI) plans and Quality Inspection Instructions (QIIs) for complex composite and machined metal parts, including rotor system components.
* Serve as a Planning Review Board member for Quality; ensure compliance with configuration management through audits, evaluations, and tracking.
* Interface with end users, customers, and subcontractors on quality and technical issues.
* Support both new aircraft development and legacy programs, while driving the implementation of advanced quality technologies.
Education Requirements:
* Associate degree preferred; relevant technical training and/or equivalent experience will be considered.
Required Skills & Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in quality assurance or aviation manufacturing planning (aerospace preferred; other manufacturing industries considered).
* Strong proficiency in GD&T applied to both machined and composite parts.
* In-depth knowledge of AS9100/AS9102 standards and proven experience creating First Article Inspection planning.
* Demonstrated ability to create Quality Inspection Instructions and define appropriate inspection placement within planning routes.
* Ability to extract and interpret complex models in CATIA V6 and 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) for advanced quality planning activities.
* Experience using MES systems such as CAMS, SAP ECC, and SAP PEO.
* Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
