Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Retail Site Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent retail location, you will play a critical role in helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for customers and staff. You will conduct regular patrols throughout the premises, remain highly visible, and respond promptly to any security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas, remaining alert for unusual behavior or potential security-related concerns.
• Work closely with retail staff and management to address security-related issues and provide assistance as needed.
• Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Remain prepared to respond to emergencies or incidents requiring an armed presence, following all applicable laws and company policies.
• Adapt to varying working environments and conditions within the retail setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Level III Armed Certification in Texas is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
