Location: Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JBMDL), NJ
Telework: Up to 20% remote (80% onsite)
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain) required
Hours: 0600–1530 (core), may flex 0500–1730, Mon–Fri

Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Industrial Engineer to provide engineering and technical services in support of the Prototype, Manufacturing, and Test Department (PMTD) at NAWCAD Lakehurst. This position supports mission-critical Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) and Support Equipment (SE) programs including EMALS, AAG, ARC, Low Loss Launch Valve overhaul, and Cross Deck Pendant qualification. The successful candidate will bring deep manufacturing process expertise, workflow design experience, and production engineering skills to ensure high-quality outcomes for Navy fleet readiness.

Responsibilities
The Senior Industrial Engineer will:
• Design, develop, test, and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including workflow, cost analysis, human factors, and logistics.
• Write and maintain production workflow control documents (travelers, manufacturing work plans).
• Support prototyping, producibility engineering, and manufacturing process improvement.
• Facilitate planning and execution of production projects from design through manufacture and inspection.
• Perform workflow and drawing analysis to determine optimum production paths.
• Monitor work-in-progress across multiple shops, ensuring cost, quality, and schedule objectives are met.
• Act as liaison between production, engineering, and quality control teams.
• Support Quality Assurance (QA) including inspections, technical data reviews, and ISO-9001 documentation.
• Provide technical support for facility improvements, safety audits, and equipment upgrades.
• Utilize and support the Job Execution and Data Information (J.E.D.I.) System (VB.net, SQL, SAP Crystal Reports) for workflow management, reporting, and tracking.

Required Qualifications
• Education: Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years in manufacturing processes and practices.
• Must include experience writing production workflow control documents (e.g., travelers, manufacturing work plans).
• Strong background in industrial engineering methods, production coordination, cost and workflow optimization.
• Proven ability to work within highly technical environments supporting mission-critical systems.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, QA, production control).

Active Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain prior to start).

Desired Qualifications (Highly Preferred)
• Experience with Navy ALRE/SE systems or shipboard/aircraft carrier production environments.
• Familiarity with ISO-9001 QA systems and process audits.
• Experience with electronic manufacturing processes, welding procedures, and prototype development.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation.
• Experience with government technical data systems and GOTS applications.
