• Prepare, qualify, and apply welding procedures; select appropriate welding methods; and certify PMTD welding personnel.
• Support ISO 9001 quality programs, audits, and updates to standard operating procedures.
• Provide QA verification, inspections, and vendor oversight to ensure conformance with Navy engineering requirements.
• Manage and investigate Product Quality Deficiency Reports and material deficiencies.
• Assist in development of Technical Data Review documents for procurement actions.
• Monitor production workflows, recommend process improvements, and ensure project deliverables meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.

• Master’s degree in Engineering (must include coursework in QA practices and procedures).
• Bachelor’s in Materials or Mechanical Engineering is highly desirable.

Experience:
• 10+ years working in a formal quality program (e.g., ISO 9001, MIL-Q-9858, MIL-I-45208A, or equivalent).
• 5+ years reading and interpreting engineering drawings, Government drawing formats, MPRs, and military specifications.
• 5+ years specialized experience preparing welding procedures and selecting welding methods (or equivalent metallurgical sciences experience).

Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance (must be current).

Preferred Skills
• Strong background in naval, aerospace, or defense manufacturing QA.
• Experience with vendor inspections, audits, and compliance verification.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 documentation processes and corrective actions.
• Effective communicator with ability to interface between production, engineering, and QA teams.

Why Join Us?
• Work directly on mission-critical Navy programs supporting U.S. aircraft carriers and aviation systems.
• Be part of a high-level engineering and QA team at the cutting edge of prototyping and test operations.
• Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.
