Strategic Analysis, Inc. (SA) is seeking an individual with knowledge of electromagnetic (EM) environments and the effects of EM environments on electronic systems. The selected candidate will support the development and management of EM modeling and simulation programs at DTRA. The position will require interaction with leaders at DTRA, other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, industry and academia. Candidates must be able to work independently and within a team environment at SA's Headquarters, DTRA facilities and home.
Required Qualification:
5-10 years of experience in engineering including work that involves EM environments and/or the effects of EM environments on electronic systems.
Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as, an ability to digest and understand new technical approaches and data sets. The ability to interpret and synthesize results and translate them into concise and comprehensive artifacts for documenting and communicating to multiple audiences is critical to the position.
Experience planning and executing complex systems analysis efforts.
Experience in developing system models, constructing and executing simulation and analysis plans, conducting trade studies and/or conducting sensitivity analysis.
Candidates with experience with the DoD verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) process preferred.
An exceptionally strong candidate would have at least 10 years of experience in at least one of the following:
EM testing in the lab or in the field
Development of EM modeling and simulation (M&S) software or other physics-based time and/or frequency domain M&S software, or
Other VV&A work related to the effects of EM environments on systems
Clearance Level
Candidates must have or be able to obtain a minimum Secret clearance. Candidates with an active Secret clearance are preferred.
Education
Candidates must have a BS Degree or higher in a recognized engineering, scientific and or technical discipline that is relevant.
