You will be responsible for system administration, SharePoint development support, and managing virtual environments in AWS. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work across diverse teams, and a commitment to providing top-tier customer support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on IT support and system administration for both Windows and Linux environments.
- Administer and support Microsoft SharePoint, including development support and user assistance.
- Manage virtual servers and cloud services within an AWS environment.
- Interface with stakeholders at all levels, including end-users, technical staff, and senior leadership, to resolve issues and improve IT operations.
- Conduct research and analysis of emerging IT and communication technologies to assess their impact on existing government policies and procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing IT best practices aligned with organizational and mission goals.
- Ensure systems are compliant with security requirements and perform system hardening as needed.
- Support network engineering tasks, including configuring and troubleshooting network protocols (TCP/IP, etc.).

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter, with minimal supervision, while managing multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related tools.
- Strong customer support and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build positive customer relationships and contribute to team leadership.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Microsoft SharePoint development and administration.
- System administration experience in both Microsoft and Linux environments (Red Hat, Rocky, Windows).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and virtualization.
- Basic network engineering knowledge, including TCP/IP and other protocols.
- Working knowledge of PKI and Unix/Linux system hardening is a plus.
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python) is a plus.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with (5) years of relevant work experience OR High School Diploma and (10) years of related experience
- Security+ or CISSP certification is REQUIRED.
