This role as a systems engineer will work on a AWS infrastructure team. This person will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to help implement the next generation desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in cloud environments, maintaining application and security patches, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.
Responsibilities: This position involves systems administration and Devops activities that support building and delivering new and innovative systems to implement analytics, exploitation, production and dissemination using web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies. Duties will include building Windows instances, performing deployments to multiple development, test and operational environments, patching, troubleshooting, and working with internal and external development teams as well as enterprise components.
Core Qualifications:
Requires BS degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree
Must currently possess an active TS, with the ability to obtain a Polygraph post hire
DoD 8570 compliance (Comptia Security+ Certification)
Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS)
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems
System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.
Experience developing, testing, and/or deploying PowerShell scripts
Understanding of custom code development/reviews
Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines
Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting
Experience with RedHat OpenShift
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)
Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)
Experience developing webapps with Python
Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams
Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)
Microsoft and/or AWS certifications
