Job Title: Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) - Cybersecurity Support Services
Location: Washington, D.C. (On-site)
Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Job Summary:
On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Information Systems Security Engineer
(ISSE) to support cybersecurity risk management and authorization activities. The candidate will
develop security authorization packages in compliance with the Risk Management Framework
(RMF), aiming to obtain Authorizations to Operate (ATO) for isolated enclaves providing network
infrastructure and services.
Key Responsibilities:
a. Lead the technical development of RMF Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages.
b. Assemble and manage RMF documentation in accordance with the organizational guidance.
c. Implement and assess security controls using STIGs, ACAS scans, and IAVA security
requirements.
d. Support system administrators with secure configurations, best practices, and compliance
tasks.
e. Ensure compliance in VRAM, DITPR-DON, and DADMS.
f. Develop and maintain system boundary and data flow diagrams as per DISA standards.
g. Communicate regularly with stakeholders and support RMF status meetings.
h. Submit monthly status reports covering progress, costs, and planned activities.
Education & Certification:
a. Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
b. DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II compliant (required), IAM Level III preferred.
c. Security+ Certification (required).
Experience & Skills:
a. 5-8 years of IT/Cybersecurity experience supporting DoD programs.
b. Strong hands-on experience with eMASS, ACAS, STIGs, and VRAM.
c. Proficiency with Microsoft OS, SQL, Red Hat Linux, Cisco, Aruba wireless, MS Office, and
Visio.
d. Solid knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and US Navy communications (LAN, WAN, RF).
e. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
f. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
