Primary Responsibilities
The Senior IPMS Lead ensures the In-Place Monitoring System (IPMS) console is fully staffed and anomalies are resolved in accordance with NGA TSCM program requirements. This position supports the Office of Counterintelligence Technical CI Division and contributes to TSSC modernization goals. The Lead is responsible for operational compliance, reporting accuracy, and ensuring system readiness.

The Lead is responsible for operational compliance, reporting accuracy, and ensuring system readiness.
Key duties include:
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot the garrison IPMS; coordinate with TSCM personnel to resolve anomalies.
- Research and apply improved tradecraft and industry best practices to enhance IPMS operations.
- Perform daily tactical and strategic IPMS analyses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct operations and maintenance tasks on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report system malfunctions and console health status.
- Conduct RF signal searches, assess anomalies, and support survey-based discoveries.
- Ensure compliance with ICD 705, DoD standards, and national policies governing TSCM tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Identify physical and acoustical security deficiencies, recommend corrective actions, and provide cost-effective solutions.
- Support IPMS program sustainment, system authorization, and day-to-day monitoring.
- Provide training oversight to ensure all personnel assigned to the IPMS mission are qualified and compliant with standards.
- Assist with NGA facility planning, construction, and wireless security efforts.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of TSCM, RF, or counterintelligence technical experience, including prior leadership/lead responsibilities.
- Experience with RF theory and direction finding.
- Interagency Training Center (ITC) TSCM Certification.
- Completion of at least 40 hours of discipline-specific training or refresher training each fiscal year (classroom, online, or government-sponsored).
- Must achieve and maintain DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician Level II (IAT2) certification for DoDD 8140.01 compliance within one year.
- Experience writing and editing technical documents.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy).
