Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Windows Systems Engineer will play a lead role in the administration and sustainment of cloud-based geospatial systems. Responsibilities include:
- Leading system changes and improvements to enhance performance, availability, and security.
- Working directly with government and contractor POCs to troubleshoot and resolve complex incident reports (INCs).
- Administering Microsoft Windows Server environments, including patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
- Deploying security patches and bug fixes to test and operational environments.
- Administering Citrix-based desktop environments within cloud environments.
- Authoring and updating operational and security documentation (troubleshooting guides, SOPs, system engineering documents).
- Supporting AWS-based architectures and geospatial mission-critical systems.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience (or Master's with 6+ years).
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- DoD 8570 compliant certification (Security+ or equivalent).
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Citrix administration.
- Familiarity with AWS architectures and services (EC2, S3, Reserved Instances).
- Experience performing security remediation tasks based on system scans.
- Knowledge of virtualization, cloud-based environments, and software integration projects.
- Proficiency with Git/GitLab and team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Agile certification.
- AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer, DevOps Engineer).
- Citrix certification(s).
- Experience supporting geospatial products.
Target Salary: $110,000-$130,000
