Inventory Consultant
Location: Camden, NJ
Schedule: 9/80 work schedule, 7:00 AM start (Mon–Fri, 9 hours/day)
Position Overview
The Inventory Consultant will support inventory management operations at the Camden, NJ facility. This role reports to the Inventory Manager and will oversee SAP transactions, material movement, and compliance processes to support on-site projects. The consultant will interact with manufacturing, supply chain, and operations leadership to ensure materials are effectively managed, reported, and distributed across the site.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage SAP transactions for receiving, stockroom, distributions, packing, and shipping.
• Communicate with supply chain to meet material requirements and support MMAS/AS9100 compliance.
• Conduct financial inventory analysis and maintain compliance with industry certifications.
• Validate material receipts, resolve issues, prioritize tasks, and perform inventory analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in inventory and warehouse management processes.
• Support cross-functional communication between operations, manufacturing, and leadership.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in inventory management and/or production planning.
• In lieu of a degree: 15+ years of related experience, including 5 years warehouse management in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership experience with the ability to multi-task and prioritize under deadlines.
• Knowledge of SAP and proficiency in planning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Skills
• Active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing environments (Defense industry strongly preferred).
• Knowledge of MMAS, cycle counts, and financial inventory reporting.
• Experience in unionized work environments.
• Project management experience within production settings.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and warehousing practices for electronic components.
• Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint).
