Apex Systems is hiring a Service Desk Lead to support a top defense technology firm. This role supports mission-critical technology solutions for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, specializing in secure communications, advanced IT services, and full-spectrum systems engineering.

Project Details / Mission Supported:

You will be supporting mission-focused technology solutions supporting the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command. You will specialize in delivering secure communications, advanced IT services and full-spectrum systems engineering to enable critical military and government operations. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

Key Responsibilities:
• Support Help Desk operations under the Help Desk Manager, including training new hires, managing shift schedules, and filling coverage gaps.
• Provide Tier II support for PC, server, and mainframe applications and hardware.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues escalated from Tier I support.
• Collaborate with network services, software engineering, and application development teams to restore service and resolve core issues.
• Simulate user problems to identify and resolve operating difficulties.
• Recommend system modifications to reduce user issues.
• Maintain technical expertise and escalate complex problems to senior staff.
• Deliver first-contact resolution for hardware, software, and application issues via phone and electronic requests.
• Perform desktop systems administration, including account monitoring, OS installation, and security.
• Monitor systems/networks in a NOSC environment and escalate issues as needed.
• Support IT systems operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting across client/server/storage/network/print/mobile devices.
• Provide courteous and efficient customer service.
• Document incidents and resolutions in tracking tools.
• Assist users with Tier I issues and FAQs.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of desktop operating systems, applications, and troubleshooting techniques.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• CompTIA Security+
• Ability to obtain ITIL certification (we’d help you out)
• High school and 16+ years of relevant experience
• Associates and 12+ years of relevant experience
• Bachelors and 10+ years of relevant experience
• Masters and 8+ years of relevant experience

Location: Fort Bragg, NC
Onsite expectation: M-F normal working hours or 4 10s
Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Salary/Pay range: Flexible with accrued sick leave and paid holidays
