Data Intelligence, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Senior Systems Administrator (Linux/Unix)with expertise in Unix/Linux environments to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) IT Infrastructure Operations and Support Services in Dahlgren, VA. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing and supporting Unix/Linux-based systems in secure environments, with a focus on system performance, troubleshooting, and security.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the administration, maintenance, and support of Unix/Linux-based systems within mission-critical environments.
- Oversee system backup and recovery processes to ensure business continuity.
- Manage security configurations, library management, and basic software management across Unix/Linux platforms.
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems, and COTS software in Unix/Linux environments.
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, including hardware/software/network issues and resource allocation.
- Work with various network protocols, including TCP/IP, to maintain network performance and security.
- Manage and implement network security tools, such as firewalls, ensuring systems are protected against vulnerabilities.
- Identify and mitigate computing and networking vulnerabilities through the latest detection methods and attack prevention techniques.
- Provide expert-level guidance and mentoring to junior system administrators.
Required Experience:
- Six (6) years of professional experience in Unix/Linux system administration for networks and software systems.
- Proven experience in:
- System backup/recovery, software management, and security management
- Hardware and software installation/configuration
- Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resource allocation
- Familiarity with various network protocols, particularly TCP/IP
- Experience with network security tools, including firewalls
- Knowledge of computing and networking vulnerabilities and detection methods
Required Certifications (IAT Level III):
Candidate must possess at least one of the following:
- CASP+ CE
- CCNP Security
- CISA
- CISSP (or Associate)
- GCED
- GCIH
- CCSP
Security Clearance:
- Top Secret (Active)
